FAQ

Personal particulars for ski course bookings

You must enter your skiing skills, name and phone number when selecting a ski course. This data will be forwarded in advance to the ski school so that you can be contacted if anything should change.

Is the ski pass included in the cost of ski school?

No, ski passes can be purchased online here.

What must I note?

Your ski course booking is personal and cannot be cancelled, exchanged or refunded. No cash payment is possible. Your booking is also subject to the General Terms & Conditions of Jungfrau Railways Management AG.

Is it possible to take part in a ski course group for only one day?

Basically yes, however we recommend booking for at least three days. It is always possible to extend your booking to five days. A five-day course is especially recommended for beginners.

Must ski school lessons be taken on consecutive days?

The lessons should be taken on consecutive days as the group continues to work through the programme and learns something new every day.

Is it necessary to book five course days or is it possible to attend ski school for fewer days?

According to the Swiss Snow League, the group programme is based on one week’s instruction. We therefore recommend attending five half-day or whole-day lessons.

What do we need to bring to the ski course lessons?

Complete ski or snowboarding equipment (including ski poles for the youngest children too), warm clothing and sun cream. We also recommend a ski helmet.

From what age can children go to ski or snowboard school?

Starting at three years of age. We offer the Bambini course (2 hours per morning) for children who are three years of age. We recommend a minimum age of 8 for snowboard instruction.

When do you move from children’s to adult ski course classes?

We recommend that beginners aged 14 and over start in an adult’s class. Youngsters up to 16 years of age can join the children’s classes in the Red and Black League.

Where do we pick up our children after ski course classes?

Beginners must be picked up at Bodmi unless enrolled for the Bodmi transfer and thus met at the Ski School office. More advanced youngsters usually finish their half-day lessons on Schreckfeld and must be met there by their parents (important: ski instructors do not accompany the children back to the village). Those taking whole-day lessons are brought back to near the church.

Are children in whole-day ski course classes looked after at lunchtime?

When children have ski course lessons on Bodmi, they will be looked after in the Snowli Children’s Club. Those in ski course classes on First will have lunch with their instructor in the First mountain restaurant. Lunch is not included in the price of the ski school.

How is the Black League ski course class organised?

The Black League is the most advanced children’s class and is only offered on a whole-day basis. The children also ski in the Männlichen-Kleine Scheidegg ski region and have lunch with their ski instructor. Lunch is not included in the price of the ski school.
