The Bernese Oberland Railway is once again running according to schedule

The remedial work on the section of the Bernese Oberland Railway (BOB) between Zweilütschinen and Lütschental has been completed. As a result, the train service started again on schedule after 16 h this afternoon, 5 January 2018.

At 16.17 h, the first train from Zweilütschinen departed for Grindelwald. Since 16:19 h, the BOB has been travelling from Grindelwald to Interlaken Ost according to the timetable.

Due to persistent heavy rain, a landslide occurred yesterday afternoon, 4 January 2018, between Zweilütschinen and Lütschental. No trains were affected. The Bernese Oberland Railway is suspended on the route between Zweilütschinen and Grindelwald until Friday afternoon. Rail replacement buses are in operation for the affected section.
