Grindelwald and Wengen open additional winter sports facilities

After a successful start to the winter sports season, additional facilities can be put into operation in the middle of November at Grindelwald and Wengen on the coming weekend of 25 and 26 November 2017.

Thanks to early snowfall and cold temperatures, Grindelwald and Wengen were able to offer an attractive range of groomed slopes on Saturday, 18 November 2017. The perfect winter weather attracted over 2,500 winter athletes to the area on the first day of the season.

On the coming weekend of 25 and 26 November, additional facilities will be put into operation. In addition to the Wixi, Lauberhorn, Eiger North and Arvengarten chairlifts on Kleine Scheidegg, the Grindelwald-Männlichen gondola, the Wengen Männlichen aerial cableway and the Männlichen and Läger chairlifts are also opening. For winter hikers, the path from Kleine Scheidegg to Wengernalp is open.

Start of the season for Adventure Mountain First
From Saturday, 25 November, the Firstbahn in Grindelwald will be in continuous operation, bringing all adventure seekers and winter hikers to the Adventure Mountain First. Both the First Flyer and the First Glider attractions will be open throughout the season and are included in the Winter Sportpass. For lovers of quiet and idyllic winter landscapes, the winter hiking trail to Bachalpsee has been prepared. The winter sports facilities at First are expected to open at the beginning of December (weekend operation).
