Hollywood blockbusters in front of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau

Despite fitful weather and colder temperatures, the film “C'est la vie”, which kicked off this year's Movie Nights last night, attracted a number of moviegoers to Winteregg.

Until next Saturday, 14 July 2018, classics and Hollywood blockbusters will flicker across the screen at 1,600 metres above sea level. The finale is “Ocean's 8” − a team of master thieves want to steal a necklace worth 150 million dollars at the Met Gala. Adults and children alike will get their money's worth with films such as “Ferdinand” or “The Mountain Between Us”.

Dining before the film

At every showing, cinema visitors have the opportunity to combine the film fun with a pre-screening evening meal at Winteregg Restaurant. You get there by taking the cable car from Lauterbrunnen to Grütschalp where the panorama train continues to Winteregg. Due to the warm summer temperatures, the organisers are expecting many cinema guests over the coming week.

The Movie Nights have taken place at Winteregg since 2012. The series of events is organized by Jungfrau Railways and Restaurant Winteregg in cooperation with the film exhibitor Movie World Spiez. Cinema and combo tickets are available at: www.jungfrau.ch/en-gb/winteregg-muerren/movie-nights-at-winteregg/ or at all Jungfrau Railways stations.
