The planned terminal in Grindelwald Grund consists of the valley stations for the eight-person gondola to Männlichen as well as the tricable gondola to the Eiger Glacier. With the new Rothenegg stop, the Bernese Oberland Railway gets a direct connection to public transport. Integrated businesses create new jobs. A new car park will provide 1090 parking spaces.

Adjustment of the zoning regulations

In order to submit the building application for the V-Cableway Project, an adjustment of the zoning ordinance is required by the town of Grindelwald. On Thursday, 26 September 2013, the local council will present the following planning principles for considering the cooperation: general planning for the affected areas in Grindelwald, planning of Grindelwald transport, roads and hydraulic engineering measures.

Car park and new bridge

An intensive exchange took place between the railways and the Grindelwald council in developing the zoning plan adjustment. The community had clear demands, which have been incorporated into the plan that has now been presented. This includes the realisation of a car park in Grindelwald Grund for approximately CHF 25 million. The joint building contractors will be Jungfrau Railways and the GGM. The railways will contribute to the construction cost for the community to build a new bridge across the Lütschine in Grund as well as for flood protection.

Ski bus offering will be supported

The railways will financially support the ski bus offering between Grindelwald Grund and the First Aerial Cableway as part of the existing sponsorship with the community and Grindelwald Tourism. The objective is to operate via ski buses every fifteen minutes in the winter between the Grund terminal and the First Aerial Cableway.

Information evening for residents

During the cooperation, the railways and the community will hold an information session about the V-Cableway Project in the Grindelwald Sports Centre. On Thursday, 3 October 2013, they invite residents to attend an information evening from 7 PM to 9 PM. Representatives of the GGM, Jungfrau Railways and local council will be available in person to answer questions. The railways will set up a single body for written feedback about the project. Weather permitting, the heights of the tricable gondola's most exposed supports can be visualized with a balloon that day.
