Service disruption on the Wengernalp Railway between Lauterbrunnen and Wengen

This morning, 20 June 2017, an infrastructure train derailed at Lauterbrunnen railway station, at the freight facilities points. No one was injured. Service between Lauterbrunnen and Wengen is currently suspended.

This morning, 20 June 2017, during a service run of a Wengernalp Railway infrastructure train, a derailment occurred at Lauterbrunnen railway station as the train crossed the points towards the freight facilities. No one was injured. Since the vehicle is blocking the main track of the Wengeralp Railway towards Lauterbrunnen, the route towards Wengen is currently suspended.

Those travelling to the Jungfraujoch will be diverted via Grindelwald. More information about when service will be restored will follow after 10.00 h.
