These protective measures make travel as safe as possible

In line with the Federal Council's relaxation strategy, public transport services will also return to normal. It is therefore important to comply with the protective measures for public transport when travelling.

What safety measures do I have to observe when travelling by public transport?

When travelling, please observe the protective measures for public transport and the FOPH's hygiene regulations. Jungfrau Railways adhere to the protection concept of the public transport industry. They rely on the personal responsibility and solidarity of their customers. From 11 May 2020, the following protective measures must be taken into account:

Protective measures

  • Keep distance

Keep your distance at bus stops, in front of counters and at ticket machines. Leave space for people getting off and form an aisle in busy places. Make sure that the distribution in the vehicles is as good as possible.

  • Wear masks if distance is not possible

Wear a hygiene mask in the vehicles, in the stations and at the stops if the distance regulations of the FOPH cannot be observed.

  • Buy tickets online

Prepare for the journey: Consult the online timetable. If possible, buy your ticket online or at ticket machines and pay at ticket counters, preferably without contact. Keep the ticket handy for inspections.

  • Observe hygiene rules

Observe rules of hygiene and conduct of the Federal Office of Public Health.

  • We clean regularly

We take care of the regular cleaning of the vehicles, especially of contact surfaces such as handrails, handles and buttons. Please support us by not leaving any waste in the vehicles and by disposing of the waste in the containers on the platforms.
