The Harder Railway was inaugurated in 1908. From Interlaken, it only takes ten minutes by funicular to reach Harder Kulm, Interlaken's local mountain. At 1,322 metres above sea level, you can enjoy a fantastic view of the Jungfrau region with the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau as well as the Thun and Brienz lakes. The castle-like restaurant, the panoramic hall and the Two-Lake Bridge viewing platform are among the highlights on Harder Kulm.

The nostalgic cogwheel railway was inaugurated in 1893 and celebrated its 125th anniversary in 2018. Even the 50-minute trip with lovingly maintained historic locomotives and railway carriages is an experience. Once on Schynige Platte, visitors are greeted by a dreamlike mountain world with a unique view of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. In addition to many hiking opportunities, the Botanical Alpine Garden and the mountain hotel and restaurant invite you to linger.

Big railway station on Kleine Scheidegg: Two cogwheel railways meet here, where you can discover the most beautiful region in the Bernese Oberland. Because nature is very close, and many excursions will tempt you: Would you prefer to go to the Jungfraujoch, hike the Eiger Trail or conquer the Lauberhorn?
