Golden landscapes, clear panoramic views and pleasantly peaceful days in the mountains: autumn shows the Jungfrau Region from one of its most beautiful sides. Before winter arrives, it’s well worth heading out one more time. These five highlights are not to be missed.
One last chance to experience autumn magic high above Interlaken: golden colours, sweeping views and a leisurely circular trail await on Harder Kulm. Afterwards, a fondue at the Panorama Restaurant Harder Kulm tastes twice as good. And there are no excuses – the trip from Interlaken takes just 10 minutes. For all lovers of fine wine: Wine and Dine will take place at the Panorama Restaurant Harder Kulm on 16 October 2026.

As the landscape on Schynige Platte takes on its autumn colours, the menu at the Panorama Restaurant also turns seasonal. Specialities such as venison pepper stew or roe deer medallions bring the flavours of autumn to your plate. The perfect opportunity to combine your excursion with one last hike across Schynige Platte and once again enjoy the panorama of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.
Tip: First hike the panorama hike, then reward yourself with delicious game dishes at the Panorama Restaurant.
When the first rays of sunlight appear over the peaks and the mountain world slowly awakens, you’ll have Jungfraujoch almost to yourself. The crisp morning air, the special sense of tranquillity and the light over the four-thousand-metre peaks and the eternal ice of the Great Aletsch Glacier create an atmosphere you won’t soon forget.
Tip: With the Good Morning Ticket, you can enjoy this experience until the end of October.
Smoke is in the air, the Eiger North Face towers majestically into the sky, and juicy brisket awaits on your plate: at Eigergletscher, an autumn day gets off to a delicious start. At The Wall Bar, enjoy tasty no-sandwiches with chicken, brisket or vegetables fresh from the smoker before hiking the spectacular Eiger Trail along the Eiger North Face. If you prefer to take it easy, the Jungfrau Eiger Walk takes you to Kleine Scheidegg in around half an hour.
Tip: Try the smoker specialities before the smoker takes its winter break.
The Lauberhorn Trail still leads downhill from Kleine Scheidegg to Wengen – just a few months later, the world’s best skiers will race down the very same course. From Kleine Scheidegg, you follow the legendary Lauberhorn downhill course on foot, passing famous key sections such as the Hundschopf, Brüggli-S and Hanneggschuss. Along the way, there’s plenty of time to take in the views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau – and to realise just how steep the descent really is.
Tip: At the Kleine Scheidegg Mountain Restaurant, you can refuel with a Röstizza – while enjoying the views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.
