Whoever travels the trail Holenstein-Brandegg with snowshoes has the mythical mountain completely to themselves. Far away from the busy slopes, the path from the Holenstein middle station to the Grindelwald-Männlichen cableway leads through white, silent landscapes and invites you to take a closer look at the 1800 metre high Eiger north wall. When crossing the Hubel and Itramen forest it disappears from view, but it is back again in all its glory on the last section of the 5.4 km long snowshoe path that is marked in red. On the terrace of the Brandegg Mountain Restaurant, Eiger fans can once again sink into contemplation of the magnificent scenery – of course with a slice of their legendary apple cake.
Walking and hiking on the trails and mountain paths is undertaken at your own responsibility and risk. The operational conditions of the trails are provided as recommendations only.
