The Eiger Express summit station, starting point for the trip to the Jungfraujoch, all around one of the most impressive views of the high Alpine mountain world: that is the Eiger Glacier station. If you are out and about in winter with skis, snowboard or sledge, there are numerous downhill routes, hiking and sledging trails. 7. Enchanting reflections on the Kleine Scheidegg

Erlebnisse-Aktivitaeten, Jahreszeit, Kleine-Scheidegg, Must See Tour, Sommer, jungfrau.ch
Fallbodensee Kleine Scheidegg

Many have found the Eiger North Face a tough nut to crack. At the Fallbodensee lake above the Kleine Scheidegg, an exhibition at the “Chilchli” (small church) shows the rise and fall of famous mountain heroes. Things aren’t so tough for you. You can comfortably walk from Kleine Scheidegg railway station to the former transformer station in 30 minutes. Right next to it, the Fallbodensee lake offers the chance to take a breather. The interesting thing about it is that in its clear, still waters, the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau reflect more enchantingly than in any other water – and on a water surface whose turquoise colour is more reminiscent of the South Seas than of the monumental Alpine panorama. From the Fallbodensee lake you can hike on various easy routes to Grindelwald or Wengen.

From Interlaken Ost railway station to Lauterbrunnen or Grindelwald via the Bernese Oberland Railway. Change to the Wengernalp rack railway and go to Kleine Scheidegg. With connections to the Jungfraubahn to Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe. Journey time from Interlaken Ost: 1 hour and 15 minutes

Winteregg
Winteregg

Dig a fork into the Black Forest gateau, squint into the sunlight and let the panorama work its magic as the children lose track of time at the playground. This is what an afternoon at Winteregg looks like. Located halfway between Grütschalp and Mürren, Winteregg offers you a complete family programme. While the kids at the “Auf der Alp” children’s playground get up close and personal with lovingly carved animals, scramble up the climbing frame and whizz down the slide, you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Here you can plan your next excursions to the local mountain Harder Kulm behind you and the Schynige Platte in front of you, to the Jungfraujoch and the adventure heartland of Grindelwald.
