No football club likes to be brought down, and many hikers likewise prefer to do without. Here, however, they are making an exception. The path from Männlichen to Wengen gently descends, which goes easy on the joints and offers a unique view of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. This could be a dangerous distraction, but the path is so wide that you need not fear any missteps. On Kleine Scheidegg, however, you have to tear yourself away from the summit trio view and head for Wengen. Along the railway track and the Lauberhornpiste, you will descend in a comfortable downhill slope. This makes the downward trend fun.
