FAQ

The discount is only granted if the full price is to be paid. Already discounted tickets with a Half-Fare travelcard, GA travelcard, Swiss Travel Pass, Swiss Half Fare Card, Eurail or Interrail Pass do not receive an additional discount

  • What happens if the good morning time is not adhered to?

The difference to the regular ticket and a processing fee of CHF 10 will be collected directly by the train conductor. A fine of CHF 90 may be levied by the train conductor.

  • Is a refund possible?

A refund is generally not possible

  • Jungfraujoch: Do I need a seat reservation for the journey to the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe?

For the journey to the Jungfraujoch, we strongly recommend a paid seat reservation (CHF 10 per person). This reservation is valid for return journeys on the Jungfrau Railway from Eigergletscher / Kleine Scheidegg and ensures that you can travel at the desired time. Without a timed seat reservation, the Jungfrau Railway may well be full at peak times and you will have to wait for the next train. Book now at jungfrau.ch/seatreservation.

    Seat reservation mandatory: 01.05.2025 - 31.08.2025

  • High mountains: What is the best clothing for a trip to the Jungfraujoch?

On your excursion to the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe, to the highest railway station in Europe, you will climb to an altitude of 3,454 metres above sea level and reach the alpine mountain world. In summer and winter, temperatures below freezing point are to be expected and weather changes can also occur at short notice. We recommend that you dress according to the so-called “onion principle” so that you can adapt your clothing to the conditions. The basic equipment for the excursion includes a jacket, closed shoes, a hat, a pair of gloves and sunglasses because of the high-altitude sun.

  • Where can I park?

For day visitors arriving by car, we recommend using the Park+Ride Matten bei Interlaken. An overview of all car parks and parking spaces and their live status can be found on the Parking page.

  • Is the journey to the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe barrier-free?

Yes, the fastest route of Interlaken Ost <> Grindelwald Terminal (Eiger Express) <> Eigergletscher <> Jungfraujoch is barrier-free.

If you want to travel via Kleine Scheidegg, booking in advance by telephone is essential. Trains depart from Kleine Scheidegg where staff are required to help passengers get on and off at Kleine Scheidegg, Eigergletscher and Jungfraujoch stations. Registration via the Contact Center Handicap.
