Marco Luggen completed his training as a mechanical engineer (FH) in 2000 and added an EMBA in business management in 2011. He started his career as a Senior Commissioning Engineer at ABB Alstom (2000–2004) and then worked as a specialist in control technology at the Oberhasli power plants in Innertkirchen (2004–2006). He joined Jungfrau Railways in 2006 and initially managed the power station (2006–2011). He was a member of the extended Executive Board from 2011 to 2020. He has been a member of the Executive Board as Head of Cableway and Winter Sports Operations since 2021.
