Exhibition for the V-Cableway will be opening in Grindelwald

The V-Cableway Project exhibition begins on Wednesday, 4 June 2014 in the Grindelwald Sport Centre. In order to provide information about the joint project between Grindelwald-Männlichen Gondola Cableway and Jungfrau Railways, it will be open to the public and all interested parties until the community vote in October 2014.

Information and visualizations made of wood for the V-Cableway Project will be presented against a panoramic mountain backdrop. Visitors learn details about the current project status on the various iPads. You can view the latest visualizations and receive an overview of key findings from the available studies. A quiz and feedback forms provide the opportunity to interact. In order to present the exhibition, Grindelwald-Männlichen Gondola Cableway (GGM) and Jungfrau Railways have leased a room in the Grindelwald Sport Centre. The exhibition will run until the community vote in October 2014.

Railway models newly showcased

In addition to the exhibition at the Sport Centre, the proposed tricable gondola train models and the new GGM are displayed in 1:1 scale in Grindelwald Grund. The mountain panorama is stretched on a wind-permeable fabric over a 10 x 5 square metre frame. A wooden platform offer passers-by a close look at the gondolas. Information signs describe the project. The photo point offers you the opportunity to take a picture with Grindelwald's heraldic animal in front of the train models.

Grindelwald-Männlichen Gondola Cableway and Jungfrau Railways have arranged the exhibition and the showcase of the train models in cooperation with Erlebnisplan GmbH. The wooden structures at both locations as well as the photo points were built by KA-Holzbau AG of Grindelwald. A building and advertising application was submitted and approved by the municipality for the outdoor exhibition in Grindelwald Grund.
