Jungfrau Railways picks up Zurich residents with the ski bus

The Bernese Oberland is getting closer for winter athletes from the Zurich area. On 23 December 2017, Jungfrau Railways is launching a ski bus that will take visitors directly from Zurich to the Grindelwald ski area, returning in the evening. For the first trip, the 49 places were given away free of charge.

As of this winter season, the aim is to make Grindelwald the top ski destination for winter athletes from Zurich and the surrounding areas. To achieve this goal, Jungfrau Railways will pick up its visitors with its own ski bus in Zurich and take them non-stop to the Grindelwald ski area. The new service will be launched on Saturday, 23 December 2017. The 49 places for the première were given away for free. Demand was high. Over 4,000 ski enthusiasts tried to get a free seat.

Transport and ski pass for 74 Swiss francs
The ski bus will run from 23 December 2017 to 4 March 2018 every Saturday and Sunday. Departure is at 7 am from the Sihlquai terminal in Zurich. After a day on the slopes, nothing will get in the way of après-ski fun. The bus brings the visitors safely back to Zurich at 5 pm. The bus journey, including Grindelwald-Wengen ski pass, is available for 74 Swiss francs (regular price for daily ski pass CHF 64), or 50 Swiss francs for children. Young people and seniors receive the whole package for 67 Swiss francs. The offer can be booked for all those interested at the Jungfrau Railways online shop: www.jungfrau.ch/skibus. The ski pass will be distributed on the bus.

At the start of the new ski bus service in the Grindelwald-Wengen ski area, there are excellent slope conditions down to the valley. There is also an attractive freestyle offer on Grindelwald-First with a half-pipe in world cup format and Snow Park for beginners and professionals.
