Unlike the athletes competing in the 2026 Lauberhorn Downhill, winter sports enthusiasts visiting the Jungfrau Ski Region can now ski the original course: After exiting the start house, the route heads towards Hundschopf and continues at maximum speed down to the S-curve at the finishing line. Along the way, there are famous key sections to master, such as Russisprung, Hundschopf, Minschkante, Hanneggschuss and Österreicherloch. This allows winter sports enthusiasts to follow in the tracks of Odermatt, von Allmen and others, and try to ride the descent above Wengen and in front of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains on the perfect line – just like the ski stars.
A souvenir picture is ensured for all winter sports guests who dare to tackle the slope from the starting point, which is equipped with an installed photo point. From time to time, training sessions and races still take place in the top section from the start to the Russisprung. This will be signalled on site. The section can be bypassed without any problems, however.
Grindelwald-First freestyle paradise
Freestylers of all ages can show off their tricks and jumps at the snow park in the Grindelwald-First winter sports area. The jumps and rails in various sizes at Oberjoch are calling you to try them out. They are prepared daily with a lot of effort and passion. “Our park offers plenty of variety for every riding ability and the chance to improve your tricks. The Snow Park with views of the Eiger North Face is unique”, explains park manager and Olympic halfpipe champion Gian Simmen.
