Luke Humphries, alias ‘Cool Hand Luke’, is the current world number one and his nickname was perfectly suited to the Jungfraujoch. His challenger was none other than the current world number 5, crowd favourite Jonny Clayton. The four-time major champion is known for his calm, precise play. The small field of participants was completed by Swiss wrestler and amateur darts player Sven Hofer and presenter and entertainer Michelle Hunziker.
As part of ‘Darts Top of Europe’, the four stars transformed the 3,454-metre-high scenery into the highest darts arena in the world. Combining power, precision and charisma, an exciting tournament developed in which all participants played each other once. The neo-pros also put up a good fight. The winner of the cup was finally the team Jonny Clayton and Sven Hofer.
The Swiss Darts Trophy, which takes place in Basel from 26 to 28 September 2025, provided the setting for this very special venue.
World-famous stars
In addition to this Darts Top of Europe Trophy Showcase, numerous events featuring world-famous stars have already been held at Jungfraujoch. It all started in 2007 with the players of the Swiss national football team and the kick off for the Euro 2008. This was followed by around 20 other events, for example with NBA star Tony Parker, the Klitschko brothers, tennis ace Roger Federer, Chinese star pianist Lang Lang and, most recently, the kick-off for UEFA Women's Euro 2025.
