Winter sports season starts at Grindelwald and Wengen

On the weekend of 19/20 November 2016, winter sports facilities are open in the skiing areas of Grindelwald and Wengen. Thanks to fresh snow and excellent conditions for piste preparation, winter sports enthusiasts can already expect a wide range of offers.

Around a metre of fresh snow has fallen in the Jungfrau region in the last few days. The conditions are ideal for the preparation of a wide range of slopes as early as the coming weekend of 19/20 November 2016.

Grindelwald-First and Kleine Scheidegg
Preparations are in full swing, so that we can offer winter sports enthusiasts high-quality conditions in a few days. Some facilities will be put into operation at both Grindelwald-First and Kleine Scheidegg. Jungfrau Railways are doing everything they can to ensure that the valley run from Kleine Scheidegg to Brandegg can be opened. A small snow park will be ready on First for all freestylers starting in November.

Sledging and winter hiking
It's not only skiers and snowboarders who are about to start the winter sports season. In the Grindelwald and Wengen areas, winter hiking and sledging trails will already be open this coming weekend.
The official start of the season with continuous winter sports operation is 3 December 2016.
