Fun on the slopes in the morning, up the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe in the afternoon

A ski pass in the Grindelwald-Wengen ski region is doubly worthwhile over the next few weeks. With the Top of Europe ski pass for one or two days, you can enjoy the freshly prepared slopes by ski or snowboard in the morning, and in the afternoon you can take the brand new Eiger Express tricable gondola and the over 100-year-old Jungfrau Railway from the Eiger Glacier to the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe. Up to three accompanied children travel free of charge.

The offer is particularly useful during the sports holiday season. The Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe will be open daily from 5 February 2021. After a few hours of skiing or snowboarding fun in the Grindelwald-Wengen ski area, your sports equipment can be stored at the heated ski equipment depot at the new Grindelwald Terminal. The new Eiger Express tricable gondola takes you to the Eiger Glacier in just 15 minutes.

At the new Eiger Glacier summit station, you change to the historic Jungfrau Railway. The journey to the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe takes another 25 minutes. Once at 3,454 metres above sea level, the Ice Palace, the Alpine Sensation, the Sphinx Terrace and the plateau with its view of the Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site will entice you. The glacier is currently covered in deep snow. As in the ski area, there is also a takeaway offer on the Jungfraujoch. The Top of Europe ski pass can be purchased for one or two days, and the price of 99 or 149 Swiss francs (adults) includes up to three children free of charge.

Neue Eiger Express tricable gondola

The ski pass also includes unlimited use of the new Eiger Express tricable gondola. Jungfrau Railways expects positive effects for the entire region, the Canton of Bern and all of Switzerland from the new V-Cableway, which in addition to the Eiger Express includes the modern terminal, the BOB station and the new Männlichen Railway (GGM). Winter sports enthusiasts will benefit just as much from the new public transport link and the multi-storey car park as visitors to the Jungfraujoch. The time saving of 47 minutes from all major railway stations in Switzerland can be spent on leisure activities. To ensure that your travel on the Jungfrau Railways network is a safe experience, the appropriate protective measures are in place everywhere.

Hiking and sledging pass

Other practical passes for winter activities in the Jungfrau Region are also available. The Jungfrau Corona Winter Pass can be used as a ticket for all Jungfrau Railways facilities. Guests who prefer to go on winter hikes, whizz down into the valley on a sledge or simply enjoy the sunshine will receive the right pass for unlimited winter leisure fun.

The Jungfrau Corona Winter Pass can be used until 30 April 2021 across the entire Jungfrau Railways network as well as on some other railways (for scope, please visit jungfrau.ch/en-gb/corona-pass-winter). The pass can be purchased as a season pass, for one month, or for three- or seven-day periods. It can thus be easily combined with a short or longer stay in the Jungfrau Region.
