Dieter Aegerter is the partner and managing director of Harder GmbH and has been running the restaurant on the Harder Kulm since 2014. Before that, he was the tenant of the Grindelwald Grund railway station restaurant for several years. 

Aegerter is looking forward to continuing the collaboration: “Even after 15 successful years as a tenant at Jungfrau Railways, every year still feels exciting and challenging. I’m looking forward to many more wonderful years on the Harder Kulm.” The new lease contract replaces the 2020 agreement and comes into force on 1 January 2026. The tenancy remains fixed until 31 December 2027.  

Varied menu and a great view

The restaurant’s varied menu is well received by both local and international guests. It includes Swiss, European, Asian and Arabic dishes. The picturesque Panorama Restaurant with its modern extension is surrounded by a large terrace. 

One of the main attractions is the Two-lakes Lookout Point, from which guests can enjoy the best view of Lakes Thun and Brienz as well as the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, Interlaken, Matten and Wilderswil. 

Meeting rooms and weddings

The Harder Kulm restaurant also offers three rooms for meetings, seminars, events or celebrations such as weddings. The new, modern construction with 130 seats is equipped with the latest presentation technology. Another room with 35 seats is located on the first floor of the Panorama Restaurant. The Eiger restaurant on the ground floor can seat up to 105 people.
