If you hear the word gallery, your first thought will usually be of paintings. Interlaken gallery also has these, of course, but this has not been its only offering for quite a while. As well as four changing exhibitions with works from the 19th century to the present, films are also shown there. Lectures, theatre and dance performances also take place. The artists come from the local region, throughout Switzerland and even from afar, just like their audiences. The concept of the gallery is to be a platform for the dialogue between locals and tourists. In this sense, the gallery is more of a home for the arts and culture.
