Using a treasure map and investigative skill on the new Detective Trail

Just in time for the Whitsun weekend, Jungfrau Railways, in cooperation with Mürren Tourismus, will open the new Detective Trail from Grütschalp to Mürren on Saturday, 19 May 2018. For young and old detectives alike, a treasure chest with instant prizes awaits at the destination in Mürren.

Anyone tackling the Detective Trail can either download the free “Mürren Detective Trail” app on their smartphone or pick up a copy of the treasure map at the counter of the Lauterbrunnen-Mürren mountain railway (BLM). With the help of treasure maps, there are various riddles to solve along the trail from Grütschalp to Mürren. The detectives will learn a lot of exciting and surprising things about the Jungfrau Region. If you solve all the puzzles, then you can open a treasure chest of instant prizes with the calculated number code.

The start takes place at Grütschalp station. This can be reached by BLM cable car from Lauterbrunnen in a few minutes. After solving the first riddle on the Grütschalp, the participants follow the route description, which leads past 16 mystery posts. Local hints help detectives young and old solve the puzzles. The treasure chest with instant prizes is waiting for the successful hunters in the Mürren tourist office. The detective trail is particularly suitable as a family outing. It is free and open daily in all weather conditions. The easily walkable path should take between 2 to 3 hours. More information at: www.jungfrau.ch/detektiv-trail
