Jungfraujoch: Friday to Sunday open

The Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe is currently open from Friday to Sunday (valid until 4.2.2021). From 5.2.2021 it will be open daily again.

Redeeming the tickets

A ticket purchased on the Interdiscount site is valid once for travel on the same day and does not need to be exchanged at the counter. All you have to do is scan the QR Code (see ticket) contactlessly at the turnstile to get to the railway/aerial gondola. You will have to show your ticket in the event of an inspection by the train attendant.

 

Seat reservation

For your trip to the Jungfraujoch in good weather, we recommend that you book a paid seat reservation before your trip (CHF 10 per person and seat in addition to the ticket, also for children). If you do not make a reservation, we cannot guarantee you a seat at the desired departure time. Longer waiting times must be expected.

  • Where can I park?

    1,000 parking spaces are available at the new Grindelwald Terminal car park. As with public transport, the parking garage is also directly connected to the terminal. 

  • How do I get to Grindelwald Terminal?

    From Interlaken Ost railway station to Grindelwald Terminal via the Bernese Oberland Railway. From there with the Eiger Express tricable gondola (from 5 December 2020) directly to the Eiger Glacier. Ride the Jungfrau Railway directly from there to Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe. 

  • Which train should I take?

    From Interlaken Ost railway station to Grindelwald Terminal via the Bernese Oberland Railway. From there with the Eiger Express tricable gondola (from 5 December 2020) directly to the Eiger Glacier. Ride the Jungfrau Railway directly from there to Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe.

  • How long does the journey take?

    The journey from Grindelwald Terminal to the Jungfraujoch takes 45 minutes. 

  • Do I need a seat reservation?

    • Lauterbrunnen - Kleine Scheidegg - Jungfraujoch (return)
    • Lauterbrunnen - Kleine Scheidegg - Jungfraujoch - Eigergletscher - Grindelwald Terminal (or vice versa)
    • Grindelwald Terminal - Eigergletscher - Jungfraujoch (return)

    The ticket is valid for one day only.
